What is Naturitas Kuzu? Naturitas Organic Kuzu is a vegetable starch used to thicken soups, stews, sweet and savory sauces, glazes, desserts, and cake fillings. It is derived from Pueraria lobata, a plant commonly used in traditional Chinese medicine, with roots that can grow up to two meters deep. This product is vegan, organic, gluten-free, and lactose-free. Benefits of Kuzu Kuzu helps reduce acidity, supports beneficial digestive bacteria, reduces intestinal inflammation, and may help relieve diarrhea. In traditional Chinese medicine, it has been used to support relief from menopausal symptoms, diabetes, colds with fever or cough, and musculoskeletal discomfort. How to Use Kuzu Kuzu is used as a thickening agent. Mix one to one-half tablespoon with cold liquid to form a slurry, then add to hot liquid while stirring continuously to prevent clumping. Heat gently for at least 3 minutes until the mixture turns from white to translucent, indicating it is fully cooked. One to one-half tablespoon thickens one cup of liquid.
