Lentils from El Granero Integral are legumes rich in slow-absorbing carbohydrates and fiber. They contain very little fat and are very satiating. Lentils are a source of potassium, B vitamins (B1, B2, B3, B6 and folate) and minerals such as zinc and iron. The assimilation of the iron that lentils provide improves if they are combined with foods rich in vitamin C. They are a good source of protein, especially if they are combined with cereals such as rice. Due to their uric acid and purine content, they should be consumed in moderation by people with joint problems. It is recommended to cook with a conventional pot or pressure cooker, the times will be reduced to approximately 1/3. It is recommended to wash the vegetables before cooking.
