This purely mechanical thermometer stands 6.5 cm high with a 0.8 cm diameter shaft and weighs only 12 g. Crafted from food-safe stainless steel and heat-stable plastic, it operates without batteries or electronics. It activates precisely at 79–82°C (175–180°F), the safe minimum internal temperature for poultry, using a spring-driven, colour-contrasted head that pops upright for instant visual confirmation. Insert before cooking and monitor passively — no monitoring required. Compatible with UK/EU-standard appliances: conventional and fan-assisted ovens, gas and electric hobs, charcoal and gas grills, air fryers, and multi-cookers including Instant Pot and Ninja Foodi.
