Passive XLR/TRS Audio Selector

A minimalist, no-power-required audio selector built for precision signal routing. Accepts one balanced XLR input and routes it to either a female XLR or a female 6.35 mm (1/4") TRS output — selected via a robust mechanical SPDT toggle. Enclosure is CNC-machined black aluminium alloy (approx. 10 × 5 × 3 cm, ±1–3 cm tolerance; weight ~190 g), with gold-plated XLR contacts for optimal conductivity and durability. Non-common ground design eliminates switching noise and ground-loop hum. Fully passive — compatible with mic-level and line-level balanced sources including condenser/dynamic mics, mixers, interfaces, and wireless receivers. Use cases include: routing a presenter’s mic to both house PA (XLR) and video conferencing system (TRS); splitting talkback feed between stage manager and engineer; or alternating between two recording destinations. Condenser mics require upstream 48 V phantom power — switching may produce pop due to phantom power interruption, so muting prior to toggle is recommended.
