Heavy, elaborately designed Viking pendant made of bronze. In the middle is a portrait of Odin with his ravens Hugin and Munin. This motif is surrounded by a rune ring with the inscription "Heathen Hearts". The back of the pendant is also elaborately designed: Here an Odinshorn and a ring of Celtic knots are shown. The chain hanger is partially blackened. Background: According to Norse mythology, the father of the gods Odin had two ravens, Hugin and Munin. He sent them out daily on reconnaissance so that they could tell him everything that was going on on earth. The raven was therefore considered a symbol of knowledge. In addition, it was also known as an animal of the battlefield. Runes were used by the Germanic peoples from the 2nd to the 14th century, especially for inscriptions on stone. Most of the surviving runic inscriptions date from Viking Age Scandinavia. "Odin's horn" is a combination of three drinking horns - alluding to Odin's extravagant drinking binges in Valhalla with his fighters killed in battle.  Celtic knots have neither beginning nor end and therefore serve as a symbol of infinity or eternity.
