Gravy, artistically designed jewelry pendant "Tree of Life" made of 925 sterling silver. The tree is surrounded by a rune circle. The pendant is partially blackened on the front, so that the design comes into its own. the back is fluted. Dimensions: approx. 30 mm Diameter Interior dimensions of the eyelet: approx. 4 mm high x approx <br> <br><>weight: approx. 9.7 g The chain pendant is supplied with a black cotton ribbon. Importance of the motifs: According to Norse mythology, the tree of life Yggdrasil was the first tree, created by the ase gods on earth. Its roots reach to the underworld, its crown to the sky, and so it stands as a symbol of the cosmos as a whole and the renewal of life. Yggdrasil is also known as the World Tree or World Ash. Runen were used by the Germanic peoples from the 2nd to the 14th century, especially for inscriptions on stone. Most of the surviving runic inscriptions come from Viking Age Scandinavia.
