Pendant 43 Axe - Silver

Artfully decorated Viking axe made of 925 sterling silver. The decoration is on both sides of the pendant and is blackened to make it stand out. Dimensions: approx. 27 mm high x approx. 18 mm wide Inner diameter of the eyelet: approx. 4.5 mm Weight: approx. 4.1 g The pendant comes with a black cotton cord. Background: Axes were an integral part of everyday Viking life. In addition to simple work axes, the Viking Age saw the development of increasingly specialized battle axes, which were very thin and sharp. The axe blades were often richly decorated, so the weapons were also used for ceremonial occasions.
