Meaning of the symbols: The Thor's hammer is also known as Thor's hammer, Mjölnir or Mjollnir. According to Norse mythology, Mjölnir was the magical weapon of the god of thunder Thor. Hurled at its enemies, the hammer never missed its target and always returned to its owner's hand. It stands as a symbol of strength and drive. This special model is the interpretation of a Viking Age find from the southern Swedish province of Skåne and is therefore also known as the Skåne hammer. The raven motif is very popular on Thor's hammers, because according to mythology, the father of the gods Odin had two ravens, Hugin and Munin. He sent them out every day to reconnoitre so that they could tell him everything that was going on on earth. The raven was therefore considered a symbol of knowledge.
