Welcome to our shop! The AD8495 is an easy-to-use K-type thermocouple amplifier. It converts the small voltage generated by the thermocouple junction into a signal that can be easily read by an analog-to-digital converter (ADC) or microcontroller. The gain from the thermocouple to the amplifier output is approximately 5 mV/°C. The AD8495 uses an on-chip temperature sensor for cold junction compensation, allowing it to measure in a wide ambient temperature range. It also features a precision instrumentation amplifier with high common-mode rejection performance to suppress common mode noise that long lead thermocouples may pick up. The amplifier's high-impedance input terminal allows for easily adding additional filtering for extra protection. The AD8495 supports a wide supply voltage range. Under a single 5V power supply, it can cover nearly a 1,000℃ thermocouple temperature range. Under a 3V power supply, it can be directly connected to a low supply voltage ADC interface. It can also be powered by up to ±18V power supply, making it suitable for industrial systems that require a wide common mode input range. Regardless of the power rails, the AD8495 can easily measure negative temperature.
