Best practice includes confirming piston seal function before heating, matching tip aperture to joint geometry, applying minimal rosin paste to enhance solder flow into the chamber, and executing a gentle circular sweep around the heated joint prior to actuation — all aimed at preserving pad integrity and achieving complete solder evacuation in minimal attempts.
