This pressure reducing valve (PRV) is designed to stabilise and lower inlet pressure from mains or boosted water systems, helping to reduce noise and protect plumbing equipment for longer service life. Supplied as 22mm with 15mm reducing inserts, it is suitable for static and dynamic water pressures. Turn off the mains stopcock2. Leave a tap .in the property left open (e.g. a bath tap)3. Adjust the PRV (using the screw on the plastic head)4. Turn on the mains stopcock5. Read the pressure on the gauge (with the tap still open)6. If the outlet pressure is too low/high, repeat steps 1-5 (this may take a few times to get right)A tap should always be left open while adjusting the PRV (the gauge indicates the correct pressure with water flowing through the valve). Do not adjust the PRV with water running through the valve. The pressure gauge may show an increased reading with the stopcock open and all taps/outlets closed; simply open a tap to view the correct pressure.Maintenance: Clean the stainless steel filter periodically - Isolate the valve, remove the plastic head, take out the filter, rinse with warm water, and reinstall.Using the 15mm Reducing Inserts:Remove the 22mm olive and fit the one-piece insert. Tighten the compression nut until the insert partially detaches to create an olive, then tighten normally for a secure seal.
