Rack Mountable E1 Balun Converter

A passive, rack-mountable balun converter designed for E1 signal bridging between 75 Ohm coaxial and 120 Ohm twisted pair cables. Dimensions: 120 mm × 80 mm × 30 mm; weight: ~320 g. Rated for 2.048 Mbps operation and full conformance to ITU-T G.703 physical layer specifications. Provides one 75 Ohm BNC port and one 120 Ohm shielded RJ45 (8P8C) port. Fully passive — no external power needed. Housed in a black metal enclosure with built-in rack-mount flanges. Sold individually. The unit employs transformer-coupled differential conversion to preserve common-mode rejection and reduce noise coupling in electrically busy telecom rooms. Its compact form factor allows dense stacking in standard racks without airflow obstruction, and its grounded metal shell integrates cleanly with rack earthing schemes. Used extensively in service provider edge nodes, enterprise WAN handoff points, and broadcast contribution links — wherever E1 must traverse mixed-media infrastructure without compromising SLA-bound uptime or introducing active failure points into the signal path.
