What is the MANS cooperative ? MANS is a social cooperative dedicated to the production, transformation and marketing of organic fruit and vegetables . What is MANS's mission? MANS's mission is twofold: to create jobs for people with difficulties, especially young people at risk of exclusion, and to accompany them in their process of social and labor integration; and also collaborate in the revaluation of Catalan agriculture, facilitating a marketing channel. Where are the products of the MANS cooperative ? MANS products come mainly from the fields of the cooperative members: the orchards that the Fundació Molí d'en Puigvert has in Palafolls and the Huertos de Sant Benet, in Sant Fruitós de Bages, of the Catalunya La Pedrera Foundation. And also the gardens of local producers, family farms. Awards and honours: Àlex Mazcuñán i Boix Award The Red Agrosocial SCCL cooperative was awarded in 2016 with the Àlex Mazcuñán y Boix Prize, convened by the Bages-Berguedà-Anoia delegation of the Barcelona College of Quantity Surveyors, Technical Architects and Building Engineers (CAATEEB). With this award, the CAATEEB Central Catalonia delegation wanted to recognize "the involvement in the territory" of the cooperative "giving work to people with intellectual disabilities, mental illness or at risk of social exclusion". CoopCat Recognition 2017 The Red Agrosocial SCCL cooperative received in 2017 the CoopCat recognition as an entrepreneurial cooperative. These awards granted annually by the Confederation of Cooperatives of Catalonia value the cooperative trajectory, the commitment to the territory, quality employment, entrepreneurship, inter-cooperation and the internationalization of projects.
