When in use, charge the primary coil first, and selfinduct a voltage of 200300V in the primary coil; then generate a high voltage of 1820kV by mutual inductance with the secondary coil. 3. The magnitude of the voltage generated depends on the turns ratio of the two coils, and finally the highvoltage electricity is delivered to the spark plugs for ignition. 4.
