Replacement Strainer Lid For Sand Filters

This replacement strainer lid is built using industrial-grade ABS plastic known for impact resistance and dimensional stability in wet environments. It fits standard 3/4 HP sand filter pumps delivering up to 2400 GPH flow, commonly used with rigid-wall and inflatable above-ground pools across the UK and EU. Weight is optimised for easy handling without sacrificing rigidity. The lid integrates directly onto the pump’s basket housing with no gasket or O-ring required — relying on precise ABS-to-plastic mating surfaces for leak-free operation. Its smooth internal profile reduces turbulence and promotes laminar inflow into the pump impeller chamber. Designed for homeowners performing quarterly filter servicing or winterisation, it offers dependable performance throughout extended seasonal use — particularly beneficial in cooler climates where thermal cycling accelerates material fatigue in lower-spec replacements.
