Core construction: impact-resistant polypropylene shell with moulded finger grooves; load-bearing internal spring made from high-tensile steel, treated with white zinc electroplating for lasting conductivity and environmental resilience. Dimensions: ~12 cm (length) × 5 cm (width) × 4 cm (height); weight per unit ~85 g. Optimised for 2.5–6 mm electric fence conductors — including UK-standard 4.5 mm polywire and 10 mm polytape (folded). These handles serve a dual engineering function: they provide mechanical anchorage for gate-mounted fence lines *and* act as a controlled conductive link — safely isolating the user while preserving fence circuit continuity. Tested under real UK operational conditions including winter frost, persistent drizzle and livestock contact pressure.
