Roxil Clear Preserver 5 Litres

Roxil Wood Preserver is a water-based wood treatment that penetrates deep into softwood & hardwood to defend against fungal decay, wet rot, dry rot & wood-boring insects. Ideal for fences, sheds, decking & garden furniture, it acts as a primer for overcoating with Roxil Wood Protection Cream. This preservative targets the causes of structural timber deterioration. Tested to BS EN 46, BS EN 113 & BS EN 118 for proven preventative performance. When used as a primer got Roxil Wood Protection Cream, it helps extend the lifespan of exterior wood by creating a solid, treated base. Must be overcoated when used outdoors. Apply 2-3 coats with a brush at 5 m2 per litre depending on porosity. Surfaces must be clean, uncoated & dry. Avoid use when rain is forecast within 48 hours. Treated wood is touch dry in 1 hour & can usually be overcoated after 24 hours. A 5 litre container covers up to 25 m2.

Safety Warnings: Use specific instructions and risk mitigation measures: For use only as a wood preservative. For non-professional use apply by brush only. Apply at a rate of 200 ml/m². (1 L per 5 m²): For a preventative use against wood rotting fungi and wood boring beetles. Do not touch or walk through spilt material. When dealing with spillage do not eat, drink or smoke. Avoid breathing vapour or mist. Provide adequate ventilation. Unprotected persons and animals should be excluded from the area being treated and should remain excluded until surfaces are dry, which may vary depending on climatic conditions. Treated surfaces should not be touched until dry. Any product on skin should be washed off. Avoid contact with eyes. Application solutions must be collected and reused or disposed of as hazardous waste. They must not be released to soil, ground- and surface water or any kind of sewer. Always read the label or leaflet before use and follow all the instructions provided. Do not use on wood which may come into direct contact with food, feeding stuffs and livestock animals. Treated wood should not be intended for uses involving contact with food, feed or livestock. Do not contaminate foodstuffs, eating utensils or food contact surfaces. Avoid prolonged contact of pets, particularly cats, to treated surfaces. All bats are protected under the wildlife and countryside act of 1981. before treating any structure used by bats consult Natural England, Scottish Natural Heritage or the Countryside Council for Wales. Inform the registration holder if the treatment is ineffective. TO REDUCE RISK TO THE ENVIRONMENT: when UC 2 application takes place outdoors under a roof, soil/ground in the vicinity of timber to be treated must be protected with a tarpaulin or plastic sheeting until treated surfaces are “dry” (i.e. they no longer drip). Any waste should be disposed of safely in line with national waste management measures (product should be left to dry and any solids added to domestic waste for disposal at landfill). During in-situ application to timbers and whilst surfaces are drying, do not contaminate soil. All losses of the product must be contained (e.g. by appropriate covering of soil with a tarpaulin) and disposed of in a safe way. Treatment of timber must not take place over/near surface water bodies. For UC 3 (outdoors, out of ground contact) application takes place by brush only, at a maximum active substance application rate of 2.25 g/m² propiconazole, 0.75 g/m² IPBC and 0.75 g/m² permethrin and only where a treatment system that includes an undercoat and a non-biocidal topcoat is employed.
