RS485 USB DMX512 Lighting Adapter

This compact USB to DMX512 adapter enables direct computer-based control of DMX-enabled stage lighting fixtures via RS485 protocol. Measuring 1.8 metres in length, it uses 26AWG 3-core conductors within a flexible PVC outer jacket and terminates in an XLR 3P female socket. Powered by the FT232 and SP485 ICs, it delivers reliable half-duplex RS485 communication with configurable baud rates between 300 bps and 3 Mbps. Its non-isolated design is optimised for cost-effective integration, and integrated ESD protection helps safeguard connected equipment. Internal 1024-byte EEPROM stores configuration data, and vendor ID can be rewritten using Mprog3.5. Fully supported by FTDI VCP and D2XX drivers across Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, and older embedded systems.
