RS485422 USB Isolator Module

Compact, rail-mountable USB to RS485/RS422 isolator module engineered for industrial durability. Core components are original FT232RL (USB interface) and SP485EEN (RS485 transceiver), supporting baud rates from 300 bps to 3 Mbps. Powered solely by USB-B (5 V), it incorporates complete galvanic isolation for both power and signal paths — removing need for external isolation power supplies. Screw-terminal interface (A+, B-, PE) includes a default 120 Ω termination resistor, configurable via jumper. Three status LEDs (red = PWR, green = TXD, blue = RXD) give immediate operational feedback. Protection suite comprises 15 kV ESD, 600 W lightning surge suppression, TVS diodes, and a 200 mA resettable fuse. Supports up to 32 nodes in point-to-multipoint networks; transmission distance varies from ~5 m at 3 Mbps to ~1.2 km at 300 bps.
