RTL8720DN Wi-Fi Bluetooth Dev Kit

This BW16-Kit development board implements the RTL8720DN SoC in a ready-to-use form factor. PCB dimensions: ~54 × 32 mm; material composition: FR4 PCB with plastic enclosure and metal shielding components. It supports dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz), IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n, and HT20/HT40 modulation. Bluetooth 5.0 is implemented with 7 dBm transmit power, sharing the same antenna and PA as Wi-Fi. The dual-MCU design includes an ARMv8-compatible high-performance core (M4F-class) and a low-power core (M0-class), allowing workload segregation. Integrated hardware accelerators handle AES, DES, and SHA operations. Security mechanisms include TrustZone-M, secure boot, and configurable SWD debug protection. Network modes supported: STA, AP, and STA+AP. Mobile provisioning is enabled via Android/iOS Simple Config apps and Bluetooth-assisted methods. Firmware upgrades are possible over UART or OTA (FOTA). Development environments supported: Windows, Linux, and Arduino IDE.
