The PVC substrate is extruded with UV inhibitors to delay photodegradation during UK summer exposure, while the stainless component retains magnetic response for easy detection during hull inspections. Installation demands precise cement coverage and 24-hour ambient-cure — no heat or clamping required. Once cured, patches tolerate full submersion, repeated inflation/deflation, and ambient temperatures from -5°C to +45°C. Functions include securing paddles mid-journey, anchoring safety lines for solo paddlers, fastening dry bags on open decks, and integrating thigh strap systems on touring kayaks — delivering dependable mechanical interface where factory fittings have degraded or were never fitted.
