Stainless Steel Puree Mill

This manual food mill stands 24 cm tall, spans 18 cm in diameter, and weighs 1.2 kg, with a maximum working volume of 2 litres. Built exclusively from food-grade stainless steel, it is non-reactive, rust-proof, and safe for prolonged contact with all types of food — including acidic fruits, dairy, and starchy vegetables. It includes three removable sieve discs: fine (≈2 mm), medium (≈3 mm), and coarse (≈7 mm), enabling customised texture control for different recipes. The base mounts securely using dual adjustable clips with soft-grip tips, accommodating containers from narrow saucepans to wide salad bowls. The crank lever features a spring-assisted pivot for smooth, consistent rotation, and all key components — lever, gear assembly, sieve holder, and discs — detach fully for cleaning. It serves three core purposes: ricing boiled potatoes or cooked rice into light, dry flakes; straining cooked fruits and vegetables to remove skins, seeds, and connective tissue; and mashing soft-cooked produce into thick, lump-free purées. Ideal for baby food, gourmet soups, Italian passata, fruit sauces, and gluten-free baking prep. Also effective for crushing soft cheeses like ricotta or cottage cheese prior to draining or blending. Its self-contained, hand-powered design ensures uninterrupted function during blackouts, rural stays, festivals, or remote travel — making it a practical, future-proof addition to any UK household aiming for resilience, simplicity, and culinary authenticity.
