1. This emulator is designed for BMW steering lock systems and supports plug-and-play installation without programming. 2. For common BMW faults—such as being able to unlock the doors with the remote key but unable to start the engine, or a red steering wheel lock icon appearing on the instrument cluster—the issue is typically related to the steering lock module. In some cases, temporary functionality may be restored after synchronizing CAS and ELV modules. 3. The ELV Emulator is compatible with BMW vehicles equipped with CAS2, CAS3, or CAS3+ systems that feature a steering lock function. When experiencing the above faults, simply disconnect the original steering lock connector and install the emulator—no programming required.
