Note: This toy is suitable for children over 12 years old. Tamagotchi, the virtual pet game from the 90s, is the latest retro gadget to make a big comeback. If you missed out on an original Tamagotchi 20 years ago, now's your chance. Remember Tamagotchi? Released in the US in 1997, this egg-shaped toy is a pocket-sized electronic pet that children feed and care for. Players "hatch" and name their Tamagotchi, and look after it by pressing buttons to fill its hunger bar, clean up its droppings, and play with it. Well-cared-for Tamagotchis grow to adulthood. They die if neglected. Tamagotchi toys are virtually identical to the originals, although their egg shape is slightly smaller. There's nothing we need more than a Tamagotchi to take our minds off the daily grind.
