The house between tides

when li-anne returns to the quiet coastal village of her childhood, she brings little more than a reluctant heart and her young son, kai. the house she inherits-weathered, silent, half-swallowed by time-stands like a question she's never had the courage to answer. but within its walls lie echoes of the mother she never truly knew, secrets buried in salt and silence, and a past that refuses to stay hidden.as the tides rise and fall, li-anne is drawn into a slow unraveling of memory, legacy, and truth. in the small moments of village life and the quiet resilience of those around her, she begins to see that healing isn't about forgetting-it's about learning how to stay, how to soften, and how to choose love, even when it hurts.the house between tides is a deeply moving novel about motherhood, memory, and the spaces we carry within us. with poetic prose and emotional depth, amanda ong delivers a tender debut that lingers like the tide-gentle, persistent, and full of quiet power.
