The Sickness Among Us

An impressive debut by an up-and-coming horror author, The Sickness Among Us breathes new life into a classic genre! Set in the Texas panhandle after a catastrophic infection of a zombie type nature, brothers James and Josh have been successfully hiding from the horrors of the outside world. Their reality is turned upside down when that world comes bursting in. Separated and launched down two very different paths, both try to survive while meeting interesting people and learning what they can about the strange and dangerous new world. When the infected begin changing both in appearance and behavior, the brothers quickly realize that the 'zombies' of this new world are nothing like the shambling corpses that popular culture often depicts. The experiences that follow this revelation are as intense as they are fascinating. A bizarre mix of horror and science fiction, with just a touch of dark humor. If you enjoy the zombie apocalypse premise but are tired of the same old tropes, this is the book for you. Get your hands on the first book of what promises to be a truly epic post-apocalyptic series.
