Threaded Skimmer Ice Guard 43.5cm

Measures 43.5 cm in length, with a square cross-section of 8.2 cm × 8.2 cm (approx). Made from durable ABS plastic, engineered to withstand freezing temperatures and repeated seasonal use. Designed specifically for above-ground pool skimmers with threaded inlets of 3.8 cm or 5.1 cm diameter — accommodates varying skimmer depths and housing sizes. Functions as an expansion-compensating winter stopper: installed inside the skimmer throat before closing for winter, it absorbs ice expansion pressure to prevent cracking of the skimmer body or plumbing connections. Requires full drainage of water *above* the skimmer inlet prior to installation; eliminates need to drain water *below* the skimmer level, saving time and reducing refilling effort in spring.
