Tunable Spring Suspension Seat Post

This seat post combines mechanical simplicity with refined tunability: a hardened steel spring coil provides progressive yet linear response within a 25 mm travel range, mounted inside a hollow 7075-T6 aluminum shaft. At 30.9 mm diameter and 380 mm length, it weighs 420 g and supports up to 95 kg with appropriate preload. The return-speed adjustment dial uses a friction-based damping mechanism rather than fluid, ensuring zero leakage risk and stable performance across temperatures from -5°C to 40°C. All adjustment points are sealed against contamination, and the lever pivot uses double-lip seals. Designed for daily commuting, audax, and gravel exploration where reliability and comfort intersect.
