Universal Upstream O2 Sensor Robust Design

Engineered for upstream (pre-cat) placement, this universal oxygen sensor features a 18.5 mm thread diameter, 4-wire zirconia planar cell, and stainless steel protective sleeve. Total length: 115 mm; weight: 120 g. Rated for continuous operation up to 850°C exhaust gas temperature and compatible with standard 12 V vehicle power supply and grounding configurations. The sensor generates a millivolt-level signal proportional to oxygen partial pressure in exhaust flow. This analog input allows the ECU to dynamically adjust injector pulse width and ignition timing — supporting stoichiometric combustion and minimising unburnt hydrocarbons and NOx emissions. Housing and internal elements are selected for resistance to thermal shock and chemical degradation. Intended for use in daily drivers, fleet vehicles and older models where OEM sensor cost is prohibitive. Installation requires only basic hand tools and follows standard O2 sensor removal/replacement procedures — no diagnostic tool reset or adaptation necessary in most cases.
