Vibrant Needle-Felt Wool Roving Starter Kit

An eight-colour needle-punched wool roving set designed specifically for accessible, joyful crafting. Each colour is a single continuous strand of pure woolen fibre, needle-compacted to enhance cohesion and reduce waste. Average dimensions: 17 cm × 8.5 mm; consistent density allows smooth, progressive hardening with each needle pass. Total set weight approx. 112 g. Fibres exhibit natural elasticity — recovering slightly after compression — which helps correct minor shaping errors and supports layered builds (e.g., adding cheeks over base heads). The surface offers moderate friction: enough to prevent slippage under needle impact, not so much as to cause needle deflection or hand strain. Compatible with all standard UK-market felting tools including Clover, Fiskars and John James needles. Used across diverse UK contexts: homeschool art modules, care home wellbeing sessions, church craft circles, and micro-businesses producing bespoke greeting cards with attached felt elements. Also popular among university students seeking stress-relief hobbies with tangible outcomes — especially during exam periods and term breaks.
