Weighted Ergonomic Bendable Dining Set

A purpose-built 4-piece adaptive dining set comprising tablespoon, teaspoon, rocker knife, and fork. All items share a unified design language: stainless steel working ends, matte-finish PP handles with pronounced contours, integrated weight near the grip zone, and a flexible stainless steel shank rated for repeated 180° bending. Dimensions align with typical UK adult hand anthropometry, and weight distribution follows evidence-based guidelines for tremor reduction and grip efficiency. Handles are hollow-free and solid-moulded to prevent moisture ingress or bacterial trapping — important for users with compromised immunity or oral motor difficulties leading to frequent utensil dropping or mouth contact. The rocker knife’s wide, low-profile blade enables stable cutting on flat surfaces, while spoon bowls are depth-optimised to retain soft foods without spillage. Developed for long-term daily use in home, community, and institutional contexts — supporting nutritional independence, reducing caregiver burden, and aligning with UK Care Quality Commission (CQC) expectations for person-centred assistive technology.
