Product description:Westland Smart Repair is ideal for repairing minor damaged areas in lawns. The selection of particularly robust, durable lawn grass varieties in combination with an effective germination substrate ensures the reliable and fast closure of lawn gaps and a denser green of thinned lawn areas.Application:for: Lawns of all kinds, for repairing minor damaged areas, with germ substrate, for sunny areas and partial shadeProperties:Some of the lawn seeds are surrounded by the Aqua-Gel cover, another part by a special blue cover, both optimize germination success and growth. How it works:Aqua-Gel absorbs up to 400 times its weight in water. The stored water is released to the seeds as needed. The protective cover prevents the seeds from drying out and thus ensures a very good germination rate. The special blue cover promotes germination and growth and reduces bird damage.Instructions for use:Lawn repair can be carried out throughout the season between April and October. The rainier weeks in spring between April and May or in early autumn from mid-September to mid-October are best suited. It should be noted that optimal germination is only possible from a permanent soil temperature above 10 degrees. Germination takes place after 10-21 days, depending on the weather.Before use, turn and shake the package several times so that the different grain sections mix well. First, clear the areas in need of repair of dead grasses, moss, weeds and coarse stones. Loosen the soil slightly and level out depressions. Use the spreading aid to spread Smart Repair once crosswise and once lengthwise on the areas to be repaired (application rate approx. 240 g/m²). For a seamless transition to existing lawn, spread the seeds slightly beyond the repair site. Lightly tread treated areas. If thinned lawns are to be provided with denser greenery, it is sufficient to spread approx. 120 g/m² evenly. Lightly roll or tread on the treated surfaces. Very important: Then water the areas carefully but extensively with a fine spray until the germination substrate no longer absorbs water. Never allow treated surfaces to dry out in the following weeks. Freshly sown lawns should only be mowed from a height of approx. 8 cm, to a maximum of 5 - 6 cm.Special instructions for urine-contaminated bald spots:Before use, water thoroughly several times if possible to flush out the substances that are harmful to the plant - or replace the soil a few centimetres deep in these areas. Fertilisation: The starter fertiliser contained in Smart Repair is effective for up to 6 weeks, depending on the weather. 2 - 3 days after the second cut, Westland Smart & Safe lawn fertiliser should be applied.
