Susan Bradley has designed a range of iconic functional bookends celebrating various British architecture and design, this being the ever popular mini car. Launched in 1959 by the British Motor Corporation, the Mini became the best selling British car in history with over 5 million produced. A 1960s icon many were bought by celebrity owners, including the Beatles, Peter Sellers and Steve McQueen. Designed by Sir Alec Issigonis (1906-1988), he developed a number of variations including the Mini Moke and Mini Traveller. Celebrating British icons in the form of functional bookends this Mini car, in white, would look great on any book shelf, either in the home or office. The Mini Bookend measures approx H11.5 x W14 x D12cm and is made in England using powder coated steel.
